My stay at Retallack had its highlights, but there were quite a few disappointing aspects that need attention. The location is great for exploring Cornwall, and the amenities offer a good variety for families. However, there were significant cleanliness issues and maintenance concerns in the lodge that detracted from the overall experience. I felt that the quality didn't align with the premium price tag.

The lodge I stayed in had areas that were quite dated, with noticeable issues such as black mould in the bathroom and around patio doors. It had a decent setup but definitely lacked the cleanliness and upkeep expected from a premium lodge.
